What is a Rule?
A rule defines what a specific clause should contain. For example: "The agreement must include a mutual termination for cause provision with a 30-day cure period." The AI uses this to evaluate contracts and suggest changes.
Rule Components
Each rule includes:
Title: Short name (e.g. "Limitation of Liability")
Category: Legal, Commercial, or Regulatory
Risk Level: High, Medium, or Low
Description: What the clause should say and why it matters
Adding Rules
Open a playbook and click to add a new rule. Fill in the title, category, risk level, and description. The more specific your description, the better the AI analysis.
Rule Quality Tips
Be specific about what the clause should include
State the minimum acceptable standard
Mention what's unacceptable (e.g. "Vendor-only caps are insufficient")
