Overview

Each contract in Vallor has a right-hand panel with three tabs: Overview, Extracted Data, and Chat. The Overview tab shows key contract metadata at a glance — status, value, dates, and parties. The Extracted Data tab shows structured fields the AI has pulled directly from the contract text, like payment terms, key milestones, and conditions.

Together these give you a fast read on any supplier contract without having to open the document itself.

Step 1: Open the Reports or Library view

From the left sidebar, click Reports to see all contracts, or Library to browse by workspace. Both views show your full contract list with columns for status, company, expiration date, and more.

Tip: Use the search bar at the top to find a specific supplier by name rather than scrolling through the full list.

Step 2: Click into a contract

Click on the contract you want to review. This opens the contract detail view with the document on the left and a data panel on the right.

The right panel defaults to the Overview tab, which shows key fields like status, annual contract value, contract type, renewal type, signers, and a plain-English summary of the agreement.

Step 3: Click the Extracted Data tab

In the right panel, click Extracted Data. This tab shows structured data the AI has extracted directly from the contract text, organized by category. You will typically see:

  • Payment Terms — net days, conditions, and a plain-English summary

  • Key Milestone Dates — effective date, deadlines, and renewal dates

  • Parties — legal entity names for both sides

  • Any other fields configured for your workspace

Tip: Click any field to expand it and see the full extracted text plus the AI's plain-English summary of that clause.

Step 4: Review key terms and milestones

Use the Extracted Data view to quickly check the most important contract terms without reading the full document. Pay attention to:

  • Payment conditions — when payment is due and what triggers it

  • Key milestone dates — deadlines that could trigger penalties or renewals

  • Conditions — any special obligations or contingencies

Note: Extracted Data reflects what the AI found in the contract document. If a field is missing, the relevant clause may not be present in the uploaded version of the contract.

Step 5: Use the Chat tab for deeper questions

If you need more context on any term, click the Chat tab in the right panel. Type a plain-English question about the contract and the AI will answer based on the actual document text.

For example: "What are the payment terms if we miss a milestone?" or "Is there a liability cap in this agreement?"

Step 6: Share or export

To share a snapshot of a contract's key data, go back to the Reports view and click Export. This downloads the contract list as an XLSX file including all visible columns. You can then filter the spreadsheet to the specific contract and share the relevant rows with colleagues.

Tips

  • Review the contract data before any supplier business review to come prepared with data.

  • If a metric is missing, check that the relevant data source has been connected in the contract settings.
